- Screwdriver
- Painter's tape
- Wire strippers
- Drill (if new screw holes are needed)
Step by step
- Step 1
Unscrew the old button from the door frame and gently pull it out.
- Step 2
Tape the two thin wires to the wall so they can't slip back into the hole.
- Step 3
Loosen the terminal screws and remove the old button.
- Step 4
Connect the two wires to the new button's terminals (either wire on either screw).
- Step 5
Mount the new button, then press it to test the chime.
When to stop and call ProFix
