How to Replace a Kitchen Sprayer Hose

  • Time: 30–45 min
  • Difficulty: Moderate
  • Steps: 5

Kitchen sprayer hoses crack with age and drip into the cabinet. Replacement hoses are universal for most brands.

Tools & materials

  • Replacement sprayer and hose (or hose only)
  • Adjustable wrench or basin wrench
  • Flashlight
  • Towel and bucket

Step by step

  1. Step 1

Turn off both supply valves under the sink and open the faucet to relieve pressure.

  2. Step 2

Clear the cabinet, put a towel down and find where the sprayer hose connects to the faucet body or diverter.

  3. Step 3

Disconnect the hose (it may be a threaded nut or a quick-connect clip) and pull the old hose and sprayer up through the sink hole.

  4. Step 4

Feed the new hose down through the hole from above and connect it to the same fitting.

  5. Step 5

Turn the water back on and test the sprayer, watching under the sink for leaks.

When to stop and call ProFix

If you see any of these, stop and call us:

  • Your faucet uses a built-in pull-down hose with a weight (different procedure)
  • The diverter valve is the problem, not the hose
  • Connections are corroded or the faucet base leaks
